  • Overview

    Construction Laborer will spend most of the day loading a cart with light fixtures, pushing the cart through a building, off-loading the fixtures and hauling trash to the dumpster.  Most of the work is in-doors (air conditioned), but the dumpster is outside in the heat.


    • Laborers tasks involve physical labor at construction sites to assist in building.
    • Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
    • Follow all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Accurately follow instructions and complete assigned course of action.
    • Off-load material and inventory.
    • Prepare and clean sites.
    • All other tasks as assigned.


    • None (0–6 months experience with construction, maintenance or lawncare a Plus.)
    • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening
    • Must be able to pass the background checks which includes local and state; or local, state, and fed.
    • Must be able to navigate stairs/uneven terrain.
    • Ability to lift and/or move a 75-lb. load.
    • Strong “team” player.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • May be required to work extended workdays frequently.



    Physical Demands

    Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend, twist, squat, and consistently lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.), and pull own body weight plus equipment repeatedly for long periods of time. Must be able to work both inside and outside a construction site.

    Work Environment

    Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, and adverse climate conditions. Position requires the ability to carry and move 75-lb. load to perform work. May be required to work irregular hours and/or respond to an emergency.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week and regular overtime, with prior supervisor approval, as required to maintain operations and support the mission.  May work irregular hours.
