  • Overview

    Provide records management support expertise in the records management area and the appropriate disposition approaches and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) timeliness for the records to be managed in a fully compliant manner.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Ensures all procedures for records management and disposition are fully compliant with the requirements, including DOE O 243.1A Records Management Program, NARA Records Management Guidance and Regulations and other applicable records management policies and standards.
    • Coordinates with federal managers to ensure records creation, maintenance, use, and disposition are in accordance with the Federal Records Act.
    • Promotes effective records management to include federal and contractor staffs.
    • Plans, organizes, directs, reviews, coordinates, and establishes controls for all records activities as required.
    • Coordinates all FOIA requests.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience required.
    • A current Q or TS security clearance is required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in business or related discipline. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
    • Knowledge of NARA and DOE records management guidance and regulations.
    • Strong familiarity with government regulations and directives pertaining to confidentiality, document retention, and project site protocols.
    • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office suites such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook etc. Adobe and other media type software.
    • Experience using SharePoint document management and storage software.
    • Confidential data and information management experience required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

    Physical Demands

    Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.  Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.     Work Environment

    Work is performed in a professional office setting and at job site construction locations during project transitioning with a wide variety of people in different functions, personalities and abilities.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
