  • Overview

    Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. Inspects all phases of a variety of work, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.


    •Assists in the creation of QC and Safety manuals; keeps manuals current and provides notice of changes inpolicy or procedures to the Project Manager.
    •Responsible for site compliance of OSHA and HazMat regulations.
    •Plans and prioritizes test-related tasks and schedules to ensure quality of operations and safety ofperformance.
    •Taking steps to correct any deficiencies or adapt to any changes in policy or practice.
    •Conducts periodic QC inspections of assigned areas of the site, forwarding all findings to the Site and ProgramManager.
    •Monitors corrective actions on discrepancies noted during the QA process to ensure issues areaddressed/corrected, or that plans are developed to resolve problems.
    •Performs other duties as assigned.


    •Bachelor’s Degree or direct relevant experience.
    •COE/NAVFAC QC for Contractors Certification.
    •Minimum of three years’ experience.
    •Capable of attaining all required Hazardous Material certifications and inspecting for conformance.
    •Capable of attaining all required herbicide application certifications and inspecting forconformance.
    •Capable of attaining all required Lead Recovery certifications and inspecting for conformance.

    •Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team.
    •Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
    •Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyzes and resolves specific problems, andcopes with deadlines effectively.
    •Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by the company’s insurancecarrier.
    •Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands while maintaining aprofessional demeanor.



    Physical Demands

    Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting
    boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand
    tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. Seeing up close. Reasonable
    accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    Able to pass all required physicals required to obtain HazMat and Lead Recovery certifications.

    Work Environment

    Work is performed in an active construction site, both indoors and outdoors.
    Employee often exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and
    vibration. ITS strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal
    protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions,
    personalities and abilities.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project. May require flexible work schedule.
