  • Overview

    Provide support to the Finance Director and Contract Oversight Team Lead.



    • Assist with the RL and Office of River Protection (ORP) internal control testing as required by Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123 in support of the efforts to ensure proper control, expenditure and accounting for appropriated funds;
    • Provide input for the preparation of independent financial assessments and analysis including planning, scheduling, and coordination. Provide related recommendations to Finance as requested;
    • Coordinate, track, schedule, and plan contract closeout Finance tasks related to major prime contractors;
    • Monitor, track, update, and develop RIMS procedures and Finance desk procedures;
    • Assist in review of compliance with Finance RIMS and desk procedures;
    • Coordinate with the RL Contractor Oversight Team Lead and other contractors to ensure timely resolution of assessment results;
    • Provide test plans, analysis, and draft independent assessment/review results and reports (including A-123) to the Finance Division. The contractor shall ensure the review plans and activities meet established milestones and quality requirements/expectations;
    • Provide input to the development of contract closeout plans, tracking schedules and spreadsheets, and attendance at contract closeout meetings as requested; carry out related review activities and deliver draft reports and presentations materials to the Finance Division;
    • Preparation of annual Finance RIMS procedure updates, annual Finance desk procedure updates (or more frequent as required), assist in development of new Finance desk procedures and/or RIMS procedures, and draft independent assessment/review results and reports related to compliance with Finance procedures;
    • Provide results of financial information analysis as requested;



    • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study
    • 10+ years relevant experience in Auditing.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Government and DOE accounting policies and procedures;
    • Detailed knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the DOE FAR Supplement (DEAR);
    • Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities, preferred;
    • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office tools;



    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen;
    • Ability to work as a functioning member of a team.
    • Detail oriented and the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
    • Proven ability to exercise mature judgment – specifically in recognizing and respecting the confidential nature of corporate and personnel matters.
    • Some local travel on/around the Hanford site is expected as required to perform reviews and evaluations.



    Physical Demands

    Work Environment

    Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

    Work Schedule

    32 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
