  • Overview


    Write and review processes and procedures, make recommendations or lead the effort to address deficiencies.



    • Supports the development of procedures including drafting, editing and revising and performing comment resolution.
    • Supports reviews for new and existing procedures to determine whether they are executable.
    • Supports development of new procedures and streamlining efforts at the Management System level as well as products within each Management System level.
    • Interface with RL Management System Stewards, functional managers, and subject matter experts.
    • Development of procedure standards and procedure on procedure;
    • Benchmarking reports for procedure conversion from the existing RIMS to the new procedure system currently being used at the Hanford Site;
    • Implementation of RIMS product conversion schedules;
    • Administrative procedure development, edit and reviews;
    • Briefings related to procedure conversion activities; and
    • Make recommendations for improving RL’s management system procedures.



    • Bachelor degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent level of education and experience with at least five years of related experience required;
    • Proficient in the use of business/technical writing;
    • Experience in developing and implementing administrative and technical procedures.
    • The ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse technical subject matter experts.
    • Working knowledge of DOE EM missions and activities;
    • Excellent communications skills;
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and Power Point; and
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.


    • Skilled at critical thinking, problem identification and resolution;
    • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other automation tools;
    • Ability to independently perform multiple tasks with dynamic priorities;
    • Ability to create various types of performance status reports;

    Physical Demands

    Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.     Work Environment

    Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.


    Travel as coordinated with the AMSE or his designee and Contracting Officer is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations, on an as needed basis.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
