  • Overview

    Performs clerical duties such as filing, typing, scanning, indexing, and copying documents. Familiar with standard office concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in establishing a process to track the scanning and indexing of legacy records;
    • Log received records into the established tracking system;
    • Scan, index, and quality control (QC) records into client software;
    • Recycle/destroy or retire hard copy records 30 days after the QC process is complete; and
    • Provide status updates on project.
    • Accuracy of file content maintenance
    • Accurate computer data entry into receivables log and/or other database systems.
    • Review of pass-through SFF transmittals, when required.
    • Comply with Internal Control Policies.
    • SAMS retrievals
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
    • Security clearance required.
    • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures with a particular field.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 7 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe and other media type software.
    • General knowledge of office procedures and standard support processes.
    • A degree of creativity and latitude required.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
    • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks.

    Physical Demands

    Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. Occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.     Work Environment

    Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities. Occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
