  • Overview

    The IIT Role Player Assistant Manager will assist the Role Player Manager in ensuring full execution of the IIT Role Player contract and support all training event role player preparation and coordination.


    • Work daily with IIT Role Player Manager and Logistics Manager ensuring successful training event planning and execution of training support scenarios.
    • Request material, services, uniforms and other support items needed to sustain role player operations in the training area.
    • Ensure training weapons, ammunition, and pyrotechnics are transported, utilized, and stored in accordance with all federal laws and base regulations. 
    • Control activities and movements of personnel and provide accurate and timely reports as required.
    • Ensure workplace compliance with all safety and regulatory laws and guidelines.
    • Supervise and direct subordinates, drive positive performance, and support quality control initiatives.
    • Maintain and account for company vehicles, IT equipment, weapons, furniture and tools.  Support client property accountability procedures.
    • Perform additional duties as necessary and complete Role Player Manager tasks in his absence.  


    Experience Requirements:

    • Demonstrated experience working closely with Military personnel, Government employees and other Contractors. Possess understanding of military operations.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor or Associate degree preferred. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

    Directly supervise program employees and external vendors in support of training exercises. Supervision can include up to 100 personnel during a single training evolution.

    Physical Demands

    Frequent bending, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, walking and/or standing, climbing stairs, and walking on uneven ground. Occasionally sitting for long periods of time and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.   Must be able to walk up to 2 miles.  Frequent use of hands/fingers, handling objects, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing.  Seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  It is Katmai’s business philosophy and practice to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.

    Work Environment

    Our mission is to train US Marines; therefore we work side by side with them in all climates and conditions. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.  Work is primarily performed in a maintenance facility as well as outdoors in military training areas. Work is often performed outdoors, in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Field conditions are austere at times.  Environment may be subject to temperatures ranging for 10 (-) degrees F in the winter to 125(+) degrees F in the summer. Training support exposure to high levels of noise due to the use of military weapons and equipment.


    Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable.

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week.  May be required to work overtime hours as needed to complete assignment or project.  May require flexible work schedule.
