  • Overview

    Responsible for architecting, implementing, and securing SharePoint deployments (intranet, extranet, and Internet) in development, test, and production environment in support of the APHC mission.


    • Designs and deploys custom Internet-facing web sites built on the SharePoint web content management platform.
    • Provides support for systems programming, web server (IIS) administration, web server vulnerability assessment and mitigation, custom application support, MS SQL Serve administration, Team Foundation Server administration, Web Application Proxy management, Active Directory account and group policy management, and VMware vSphere datacenter administration.
    • Develops and administers Web reporting. Work closely with the IMD’s Project Management Office (PMO) to provide consistency to the product development teams.
    • Servers as a source among the application development team for technical guidance and leadership.
    • Coordinates with the IMD’s Cybersecurity Office to ensure all cybersecurity requirements are applied to applications and information systems.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Security clearance required up to top secret.
    • It is preferred to have 5 years of mastery level experience, with emphasis on full range of SharePoint solution development, deployment and administration. Extensive Microsoft based server experience, application support experience, and thorough understanding of cybersecurity requirements and remediation techniques.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as leading/mentoring subordinate staff members.
    • Certification: VMware Certified Professional and MCITP in SharePoint Administration or MCPD plus baseline certification as stipulated.

    Special Skills:

    • Provides skilled guidance, solutions and recommendations using SharePoint Server, SharePoint Designer, and Visual Studio.
    • Application and database expertise to include software development, design and maintenance of the APHC enterprise platforms.
    • Skilled in data processing techniques, database management, and management information system concepts and applications.
    • Cyber security remediation expertise to assure compliance with STIGS, OPORDS, and VDPs.



    Physical Demands

    Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, speaking or translating.  Periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.  Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.     Work Environment

    Work is performed primarily indoors at a well-lit office or server room environment. The environment is normally air conditioned, but conditions may change dependent upon circumstances.  Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.  Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

    Work Schedule

    Full time with occasional travel between IT support facilities. Application Developer III (SharePoint Architect) shall be available and required to work additional hours as deemed necessary for adequate deliverable care of services.
